A pioneer in creating pride and identity for traditional healers in the field of traditional Ayurveda in Sri Lanka. For the education of traditional healers and their children, a campus called ITMI was started and diploma courses were started and those courses were made into approved courses of the Tertiary Professional Education Commission and by merging with several Ayurvedic Medical Colleges in India, those courses were made into nationally and internationally recognized courses. CTMC or Ceylon Traditional Medical Council was established and a council where traditional doctors can come together. By conducting medical training in these local and international medical clinics, Sri Lankan medical excellence was also taken to the international level by that organization.
